The 2023 Zayed Charity Run took place on November 25, 2023, at Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The run, launched in 2001 in Abu Dhabi, pays tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and embodies the values of giving, volunteering, and charity. This year’s proceeds supported the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre (ADSCC) to fund cancer treatments. The event featured three main race distances—3 km, 5 km, and 10 km—and welcomed runners of all ages and abilities. The total prize money for the event was AED 1 million, distributed to winners according to their race categories. The run aims to foster goodwill and humanity, both in the UAE and beyond, and has been held in notable international locations such as New York and Egypt
